What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies are used on technoden.net (the "Site"), what they do, and how you can manage them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

A "cookie" is a small text file a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies help websites remember information about your visit, like your preferences. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar in-browser storage mechanisms that don't transmit data the way cookies do, but we group them under this policy for clarity.

What we use, and why

A note on our scripts

Our site uses small first-party scripts that don't set cookies but do use your browser's local storage:

• Theme toggle — saves your light or dark mode preference as td-theme in local storage. You can clear it by clearing site data in your browser.
• Kill switch — td_disable in local storage allows the site administrator to disable site-wide scripts during troubleshooting. Not set on normal visits.

Neither value identifies you personally or is transmitted to TechnoDen servers.

Your choices

Cookie banner

When you first visit the Site, you may see a cookie banner where you can accept or manage your preferences. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the banner's stored preference and refreshing the page.

Browser controls

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser:

• Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may make parts of the Site fail to work.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There isn't yet a uniform industry standard for honoring it. We do not currently respond differently to DNT signals, but we don't sell personal information and don't run cross-site advertising trackers.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when the cookies we use change. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
